	What Families Can Do:
Families have the fun part. They spend as much time as they can together during Family Weekby participating in the various contests and activities available throughout the community. Families can eat meals together during the week as well as decorate their yard with symbols of Family Week. During the rest of the year they can dedicate one night per week to spend time with their families. One way to honor and pay tribute to families for their devotion to their individual family, commitment to each family member, and their example of " Putting Families First" is through a Family of the Year Recognition.
	Family Night
To encourage families to continue spending time together throughout the year, designate one night per week as Family Night. After trial and error, we selected Monday as our community Family Night. Monday nights have the least amount of school events, church activities, and city It took a great commitment and continued effort from schools and athletic organizations to squeeze their activities into another weeknight and block Monday evening for the family. Additionally, we encourage businesses to offer a Family Night special throughout the year.
